CGR to Facilitate Merger of Dutchess County’s Departments of Health & Mental Hygiene

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Sept. 17, 2014 - PRLog -- CGR has been engaged by Dutchess County to provide analytical support and implementation assistance for a proposed merger of the county’s Departments of Health and Mental Hygiene.

The project follows work CGR completed for Dutchess County in 2013 and 2014 to evaluate the feasibility, impact and options surrounding such a merger. Subsequent to that effort, the County Executive and the county’s Health and Human Services Advisory Team endorsed the functional consolidation.

CGR will develop and maintain a formal implementation timeline to monitor process targets and document progress; in coordination with county staff, identify staffing and facility changes that impact on the 2015 budget; evaluate the potential for creation of a central training and compliance function; review laws with regard to the Mental Hygiene Board and Board of Health to determine impacts on the implementation process; create a draft organizational chart for the new agency; and review space and usage needs.

The project is scheduled to be completed in late-2015.
