Evan Guthrie Law Firm Helped Color Of Justice For Charleston SC Middle And High Schools Students

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Sept. 17, 2014 - PRLog -- Attorney Evan Guthrie of the Evan Guthrie Law Firm in Charleston, South Carolina helped to build and moderate the Color Of Justice Program. The program works to expose  middle and high school students in the Charleston, SC area to practicing attorneys, law students, law school professors, and the Admissions Directors for law schools. The purpose behind Color of Justice is to introduce and encourage students to seek out Law as being their potential career. This event was held on November 16^th, 2014,  at the Charleston School of Law in Charleston, SC.

High school and middle school students from the surrounding areas were invited to attend the event. Throughout the event students were able to hear a panel of the representatives speak, as well as address their questions and inquiries. Engaging in smaller groups, students were able to gain all the information wanted, as well as getting to interact on a more personal level with the speakers. The students were positively impacted from being exposed to the gradual process of becoming a part of the legal profession. They heard from a Law student, then from someone of higher position, and continuance.

Seeing the growing legal process cleared up any confusion the students had on the different phases, and really brought the whole process into a visual perspective. The day became very interactive as many students found they were quite fond of the profession and requested more information. Attorney Guthrie enjoyed being able to educate the students, as well as motivate them. Additionally, he hopes to further expand this powerful and positive program to more students.
