Yohan Lee Stars in Jeong Jung Kim’s "Road to Utah"

LOS ANGELES - Sept. 13, 2014 - PRLog -- In the short amount of time that he has lived in the Unites States, Asian actor Yohan Lee, who is set to star in the upcoming feature films Middle Ground and Ninja Runner, has become quite the Hollywood success.

Originally born in Seoul, South Korea, Yohan Lee began his acting career several years ago and has since starred in a long list of films including Road to Utah.

Lee stars in the role of Jongwoo in the film, a successful businessman who holds tight to a grudge he developed against K in high school. K, played by Asian celebrity Jin-wook Lee who is known for his roles in Smile Again, Alone in Love, Miss Granny, I Need Romance, and Air City, was a high school baseball all-star who continually used his popularity to humiliate Jongwoo during their formative years.

Cut to the future and Jongwoo, being the rich and powerful Mafioso that he is, finally gets his chance to take revenge on K for his past wrongdoings, however Jongwoo’s feelings of retribution only last so long. After K shamefully comes to Jongwoo begging him to lend him money after losing everything he had to a band of unforgiving card sharks, Jongwoo refuses and hits him in the face with a golf club in front of a crowd of people.

Angry, and embarrassed, K retaliates by bludgeoning Jungwoo over the head while his back is turned, a move which ultimately kills him. Seeing no other way out, K flees the scene and ends up on a road trip to Utah.

Although his actions are less than noble, the way Yohan Lee portrays his character’s long awaited vindication is so powerful, that his subsequent death breeds an overwhelming feeling of injustice.

The film was directed by award winning director Jeong Jung Kim and produced by Korean-based production company, Bada Entertainment. Jeong Jung Kim is known for his films Hers, for which he received the JJ Star Award at the 2007 Jeonju International Film Festival, Oishii Man, which was an Official selection at the 2009 Busan International Film Festivaland Listen to the Voice in a Wind.
