Follow on Google News | Financial Advice for those Entering the Silver Hair TsunamiReal Estate Experts to Teach Baby Boomers Best Practices for Financial Decisions
By: Sexton Advisory Group and Alliance Group Each day, more than 10,000 people are coming together to form a silver hair tsunami – a wave of retirees who will impact the economy with their changes in spending, investments, living situations and leisure activities. “The way those 65 and older spend their money is different than the younger age groups, and those making the transition will need assistance to make the right decisions for their situations,” Baby Boomers are expected to increase the population of people over 65 years old to 40 percent over the next 20 years. That age group typically spends more money on health care, doctors and prescriptions. They also tend to travel to see relatives and check off items on their bucket lists. They may want to get those home improvement jobs completed in order to downsize or move into a transitional living situation. Sexton will join panelists Glen Henderson and Shannon Keatley of the Alliance Group; Alan Nevin of the Xpera Group; Bill Exeter of Exeter 1031 Exchange Services; Don Meredith of Tactical Income for Life; and Craig Sewing, radio and television host. This ensemble of expert advisers will provide retirees with the information they need to make sure their hard-earned money doesn’t fall through the cracks. Topics to be discussed will include, five key questions to ask when transitioning with property investments; Sexton will also discuss his Three Step Review process that he recommends for any financial decision. The Silver Hair Tsunami will be held on Sept. 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kona Kai, 1551 Shelter Island Dr., San Diego. The event is free and open to the public.
