Ignoranti interviews Ellen Brown

LONDON - Sept. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- The Ignoranti - http://www.ignoranti.org - have released their interview with Ellen Brown, Founder of the Public Banking Institute. During the interview, Ellen Brown discusses the value of public banks and the challenges of pushing state legislation to license them. The complete interview can be heard here: http://www.ignoranti.org/2014/09/08/ellen-brown-founder-public-banking-institute/

During the interview, Ellen Brown talks about the success of the North Dakota model, as North Dakota is currently the only state in the US which has a publicly owned bank. She talks about how she is trying to persuade other states to follow this model, and also how moves to promote this have been opposed by vested interests.

She argues that there is a 'crying need' for public banks which can not only provide low cost loans to the local population, but also bring money in to the state or city coffers. Finally, Ellen explains how the movment is becoming international and that the need for public banks is not just felt in the United States.
