By: Comprehensive Child Development, Inc. SAVE THE DATE: Saturday, October 11, 2014 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Keesal, Young & Logan 400 Oceangate Long Beach, CA 90802 Comprehensive Child Development, Inc. (CCD) is celebrating its 30th Anniversary. Since 1984, CCD has provided high quality early childhood education to over 10,000 disadvantaged children and families in Long Beach, San Pedro, and Wilmington (and an additional 130,000 children have been provided with healthy meals through our Nutritious Meals Program). To mark this milestone anniversary, a reception will be held on the 14th Floor at Keesal, Young & Logan’s firm on October 11th, 2014 from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm. This reception will include special honors given to Congressman Alan Lowenthal and Congresswoman Janice Hahn and a very special “Lifetime Achievement Award” to Tammie Kyle, CCD’s Executive Director, celebrating 30 years of serving the children and families of CCD and over 50 years in the child development field. We are requesting sponsorships from local Long Beach and Los Angeles businesses to help support the vital child care programs offered by Comprehensive Child Development. We are thankful to have the Port of Long Beach as a Platinum Sponsor and Pasha & Stevedoring Terminals as a Silver Sponsor. Today we operate five childcare centers, support approximately 20 licensed Family Child Care Homes, and oversee 690 nutrition programs at licensed Family Child Care Homes throughout the Greater Los Angeles and Orange County communities. We serve over 7,700 children daily and are one of the largest nonprofits serving the Los Angeles Harbor Communities. The families we serve in our centers are homeless, unemployed, low-income/working poor, or vocational students in desperate need of our support. It is our vision that all families we serve become equipped to lead successful lives and achieve economic security. We hope you are able to join us in celebrating the achievements of Comprehensive Child Development and assist us in continuing our legacy to serve children and families most in-need of our services.
