SAN DIEGO - Sept. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- MissionMode, a leader in end-to-end incident management (http://www.missionmode.com/) solutions for communication and project management of unplanned business events, today unveiled their new Readiness Survey (http://www.missionmode.com/be-ready/) at the Disaster Recovery Journal’s Fall World Event in San Diego, California.

Billed as the #1 conference dedicated to business continuity (http://www.missionmode.com/solutions/role/business-continuity/), Fall World provides training, networking, and best-practices sharing for business continuity professionals from across the country.  MissionMode will help hundreds of attendees better understand their level of crisis preparedness by having them complete the new Readiness Survey.

Industry data shows that despite the best efforts of professionals in the business continuity field, overall readiness remains an issue.  According to the 2013-2014 Global Business Continuity Management (BCM) Program Benchmarking Study conducted by Continuity Insights and KPMG, only 68 percent of organizations surveyed have business continuity management plans in place and just 55 percent have emergency notification systems to communicate critical information to employees, customers and other constituents.  For those companies with active business continuity programs, the need is growing; 59 percent reported activation of business continuity plans for weather-related events in the past year, 52 percent for power outages, and 37 percent for IT incidents.

MissionMode is committed to helping organizations improve overall crisis communications readiness.  This starts with improving understanding of the key success factors for every business continuity program.  The Readiness Survey helps organizations evaluate the Four T’s of business continuity success; Team, Tasks, Templates and Tools.  It looks across the end-to-end incident management lifecycle to assess effect planning, early warning sign tracking, risk assessment processes, response, and resolution evaluation.

“Every discussion of business continuity readiness begins with an assessment of the Four T’s,” said Robert Edson, MissionMode’s Global Vice President of Sales and Marketing.  “We work with companies daily to customize incident management system deployments in order to simplify communications and speed effective resolution.  We created the Readiness Survey to provide a quick and easy way to help organizations identify opportunities for improved preparedness whether they are just getting started or already have a well-established business continuity program in place.”

Business continuity professionals not attending this year’s Fall World event can still take advantage of MissionMode’s new Readiness Survey by visiting www.missionmode.com/be-ready.  The process takes just 5 minutes and will not only give a benchmark for business continuity readiness –“Readiness Number--” but also tips for how to improve the score.
