JACKSONVILLE, N.C. - Sept. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- On Friday, October 3, 2014, Paper Chaser will “go pink’ and join other participating small businesses to help Lee National Denim Day celebrate 19 years of fighting breast cancer. Paper Chaser is gearing up to participate in this grassroots program which has raised more than $91 million for breast cancer programs by simply asking the nation to put on their jeans and donate $5 or more to the American Cancer Society®.

Lee National Denim Day is proud to continue to support the American Cancer Society. Denim Day is committed to improving the everyday lives of those with breast cancer - past, present and future.  Find out how a simple gesture turns into extraordinary support by funding lifesaving screenings in communities nationwide; providing hope and care to those traveling away from home for cancer treatment; and investing in groundbreaking cancer research.

“I’ve been an active participant over the past several years in Lee National Denim Day through various organizations and started a stand-alone campaign through my company, Paper Chaser in 2013. There are currently more than 3.1 million breast cancer survivors in the United States today and I couldn’t be happier to report my mother is a survivor.” said Melissa St. Clair, Owner, Paper Chaser. “I encourage other small business owners to participate as every dollar helps fight breast cancer, a cause that is very important to many of us.”

St. Clair, Owner of Paper Chaser challenges other small business owners in her professional networks to help raise awareness of the fight against breast cancer by displaying/incorporating a pink ribbon in their business Facebook page profile or cover photo or display a pink ribbon in the window of their storefront during the month of October. The team ID for Paper Chaser Goes Pink is # 253111 for persons interested in supporting this solopreneur’s fundraising efforts.

“We are more grateful every year at the number of organizations like Paper Chaser, who come together across the country and donate to make this grassroots program a continued success,” said Liz Cahill, Vice President of Marketing Communications for Lee Jeans. “This year as we celebrate our 19th anniversary, we’d like to thank all the companies and people across the nation that have participated in Lee National Denim Day and helped us raise more than $91 million in the fight against breast cancer.”
