Brooklyn-based Crop to Cup Coffee Importers is announcing the grand opening of the first ever coffee importers showroom and new green coffee website. This makes green (unroasted) coffee available to coffee enthusiasts looking for 2+ pounds to roast at home, or to professional roasters, looking to purchase pallet loads or annual supply.

“Coffee is an ingredient, the roaster the chef”, comments Crop to Cup’s Dan Shafer, “we feature over 20 types of ingredients for roasters to explore”. These raw coffee beans, as well as the tools used to roast and brew them, are available at the Gowanus, Brooklyn Showroom and online at the company’s newly launched website www.croptocup.com – the first ever website combining large volume buying for commercial roasters with by-the-pound buying for home coffee roasting enthusiasts and small startup roasting operations.

Not interested in roasting your own coffee? You can still visit the Showroom to learn about coffee production, receive instruction on proper extraction, buy beans or sample brewed coffee from a rotation of specialty roasters from across the US who source their raw coffees from Crop to Cup Importers.  This allows café customers to drink and purchase roasted beans of the same coffees interpreted by different roasters.

For commercial roasters, the storefront also serves as a coffee sourcing outlet, where professional buyers can come to inform their annual inventory plans, cup coffees and meet with an importing representative.

Co-Founder & President Taylor Mork is available for interviews by appointment, and invites you for a phone or in-person tour of the company’s new model, the showroom retail space and website, and to learn more about what this new development means to the growing specialty coffee industry.

Crop to Cup Coffee Importers is a matchmaker between farmer and roaster – we believe that good coffee comes from good people, and we source unique beans for roasters large and small across the US.  The company was founded in 2007 as a distributor of both roasted and raw/green coffee, but now works solely in the specialty green coffee sector alongside farmers in East Africa, Asia, the South Pacific and Latin America.
