The Special Funds (specialfunds.org) is tasked with maintaining and defending the Special Disability Fund and the Fund for Reopened Cases under the New York Workers’ Compensation Law. iHCFA will provide a direct electronic connection to the Fund for Reopened Cases reducing the need for paper submissions of medical billing. Electronic billing (“eBilling”) expedites and ensures more timely medical bill payments from the Special Funds. eBilling is presently mandated for Workers’ Compensation in several states and is being implemented or evaluated in many more.
