Follow on Google News | 9/11 Day of Healing | Visual Healing Art Exhibition“Visual Healing” will provide an environment to release stress and anxiety by offering a backdrop of the healing sounds of the Chinese Gong while experiencing the imagery created by Artist Al Johnson. Meditation benches designed by Edward Rode.
By: Al Johnson Art Al Johnson responded to this commonly expressed feedback on his work as “this energy that was sent forward through me”, which is therefore open to anyone to receive. In this way, Johnson invites the public to participate in an inward journey through the intimate sanctuary of his own creative world. He notes the influence of artists such as Klimt, Pollack, Rothko, Romare Bearden and Cornell. While he draws upon these artists and their inspirations, his techniques are entirely personal and are constantly exploring and developing new directions. Johnson often references the fact that his creative process provides for him a continuous “healing” into this human experience. His message is that art has the ability to awaken our connection to our “source”. Al’s intent is to share these manifestations of his personal experience with connectivity and awakening as vehicles for each of us to freely interpret and discover our own continuously emergent soul awareness. http://www.aljohnsonartstudio.com http://www.studiojlic.com Where: Studio J Gallery 11-11 44th Road, Long Island City, New York (four blocks from MoMa and PS1) For information: Proud Sponsor: PERRIER End
