Unique 54-Hour Marketing Marathon Weekend Starts Sept. 12-14

More than 70 professionals and students will donate their skills in an effort to help Playworks SoCal spread their mission
 
SANTA ANA, Calif. - Sept. 8, 2014 - PRLog -- Starting Friday, Sept. 12 at noon to Sunday, Sept. 14 at 6 p.m., an estimated 70 volunteers will take part in a 54-hour marketing marathon event to benefit Playworks SoCal. This unique marketing event is organized by Forge 54, an Orange County based nonprofit made up of marketing professionals and students who donate their time and talent to create new marketing assets for another local nonprofit.

"This event was created for young marketing professionals and students to make a difference in their community" said Torrey Tayenaka, President of Forge 54. “By joining together, we are able to really make something bigger than what they could have done on their own,” Tayenaka continued.

Using their varied experience and skills, Forge 54 volunteers will provide Playworks with tools to help promote their mission of improving the well-being of children through safe, meaningful play. Playworks can expect to receive tools such as a mobile app, high-quality video commercials, graphics and web design, professional photography, PR plans and social media plans from the Forge 54 team.

Due to the success and growth of Forge 54 this year, a location change has been announced. DGWB (http://www.dgwb.com/) in Santa Ana will be donating office space for the 2nd annual event.

"The DGWB office space will give us the space we need for our growing team members, mentors, sponsors and leaders" said Tayenaka.

In further support of their event and volunteers, Forge 54 launched an Indiegogo campaign to help make the event possible. About 70 percent of the goal has already been raised with the campaign continuing through Sept. 17.
