Activist Art Rocker heading to Seoul, Korea to speak on World Peace

PENSACOLA, Fla. - Sept. 8, 2014 - PRLog -- Art Rocker, Chairman of Operation People for Peace (OPFP) and Florida Southern Christian Leadership Conference (FLSCLC) along with his wife Jessica, have been personally invited by Chairman Lee of globally known organization, Heavenly Culture World Peace and Restoration of Light (HWPL), to attend the World Alliance for Religion: Peace Summit 2014(WARP) in Seoul, South Korea on September 16-19, 2014. HWPL is recognized globally for orchestrating conferences for World Peace.  This summit is in partnership with the Academy of Cultural Diplomacy, a consortium of globally international higher educational institutions.  Rocker is a confirmed featured speaker concerning “Conflicts and Peace building in Communities.”

Rocker’s spiritual guidance for this summit and principles are from the beliefs that love exists as a power that is superior to all, a belief which is articulated to him from the Holy Bible which is his strength. Rocker recognizes two men that help aid the vision and the progress of humankind by helping to create this world of peace and harmony. These two men are Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his Kingian articulation of Agape and Mahatma Gandhi’s Satyagraha. The principles of Agape love are what we must affirm again and again; in Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism, Shintoism, and all other faiths. “I will deliver a message of peace, hope, and love to the distant corners of our beloved planet earth, because this is our only alternative.” -Art Rocker

The WARP Conference focus is that although today our world is beset with conflicts, many of which stem from religious misunderstandings, the objective of this conference is to define the roles of religion in establishing peace.

The summit will feature panel discussions from Country Presidents, international heads of government, leaders of nonprofit organizations, youth leaders, and leaders of religious institutions. These individuals will discuss and work to identify challenges in religious understandings, to analyze and develop an innovative, multilateral conflict resolution policy, and to establish a global channel for communication. The summit will conclude with the drafting of a resolution of peace detailing a plan for action. The program also includes a diverse spread of performances to facilitate cross-cultural understanding.

Rocker has accepted this invitation to be a messenger of peace for this summit and shall articulate a message of depending on spiritual guidance which focuses on hope and love; communicating directly to our youth, young adults and disenfranchised people; and delivering a quote from Magic Johnson to the conference attendees and youth globally of “Create a guiding vision of where you want to go and what you want to do with your life.”

After accomplishing such goals in South Korea, Rocker indicates “I believe I can invite this group to the United States to host a conference and began a dialogue. Possibly in the City of Pensacola, Florida or The King Center or Carter Center in Atlanta, Georgia and have another World Peace Summit Conference with Global Religious Leaders and Country Presidents. The aforementioned places or any other venues in America that will accept this idea and are willing to have such a dialogue in their communities to help make a world that is free of poverty, wars, hunger, and homelessness, and other societal ills that international standards of human decency cannot allow. Wherein our global mission will continue within the OPFP vision to work to combat racism and all forms of discrimination, and promote a world where bigotry and prejudice will be replaced by an all-inclusive spirit of community and loving one another. This ideology is particularly important for those whom are underserved and underrepresented. We will work to engage a young people’s movement to connect in theses target areas globally for Peace.
