Fox Chapel Publishing Acquires Creative Homeowner Assets from Courier Corporation

LANCASTER, Pa. - Sept. 8, 2014 - PRLog -- Fox Chapel Publishing has purchased all assets of Creative Homeowner, a publishing subsidiary of Courier Corporation. The deal involves over 100 active titles in home design, home improvement, landscaping, and gardening.

Fox Chapel publishes books, magazines, patterns, and videos in areas ranging from woodworking, jewelry making, and sewing to boating, farming and beer making. The fast-growing independent publisher has been diversifying its operations in recent years. In April 2014, it acquired titles from New Holland Publishers (UK) in a purchase that more than doubled the number of books it publishes annually. Over the last 12 months, Fox Chapel has added 1000 active titles to its list.

Recent best-selling titles under the Creative Homeowner imprint include Backyard Homesteading, Chickens for the Backyard Homesteader, and Garden Secrets for Attracting Birds. Popular book series in the line include Char-Broil barbeque books and the Lowes Home Plan titles. Creative Homeowner’s imprint is strong in well-researched regional landscaping and gardening guides, such as Northeast Home Landscaping and Texas Home Landscaping.
