THE CRAB CORNER brings hot steaming Crabs & Shrimp to Hollywood, CA!

LAS VEGAS - Sept. 12, 2014 - PRLog -- On August 9th, Chefs Mark and John Smolen, the owners of The Crab Corner in Las Vegas, made an appearance at the West Wing 4th Annual Maryland Day Crab Feast at The Happy Ending Bar in Hollywood, CA! The Smolen brothers, who are born and raised in Maryland, brought the Crab Corners award winning fresh blue crab & shrimp to this years Maryland Day Crab Feast. The crab and shrimp came directly from the Chesapeake Bay outside of Maryland and the Chefs steamed them live on-site!

When the west coast Baltimore Raven fans found out that Chefs Mark and John Smolen were going to be at the 4th Annual Maryland Day Crab Feast, the event was sold out quickly! All the West Wing members were lined up on Sunset Strip to get a taste of the Crab Corners delicious seafood recipes that are straight out of Maryland. Raven fans that were craving authentic Maryland coastal seafood from their home state left the event full and satisfied. The Crab Corner won the award for the Best Seafood Restaurant in Las Vegas by the Las Vegas Review Journal for the year 2010-11. They are best known for their steamed blue crabs, spiced shrimp, crab cakes that are 95% blue crab meat, and their authentic Maryland clam chowder.

The West Wing is the largest Baltimore Ravens fan base outside of Maryland. Currently, the sports club has about 2,000 members and the club is continually growing. They are the first official fan base to be created in the Los Angeles & Orange County area. West Wing members come together on game day to root and cheer the Ravens onto victory! Every year during the prime season for Maryland blue crabs, the West Wing holds the Maryland Day Crab Feast. This is an event where all the Maryland fans come together in their favorite Maryland sports gear to hang out and enjoy authentic seafood from their home state. For this years Crab Feast, tickets were sold for $40.00, which included Crab Corners crab and shrimp, cupcakes from Charm City Cakes, a keg of Ravens Special Lager, and a silent auction was held for Maryland sports memorabilia for the fans. As the blue crab season is closely coming to an end, the natives of Maryland out in the west coast are going to have to wait another year to experience the next Crab Feast!
