LOS ANGELES - Sept. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- Hollywood, CA, September 6, 2014 -- Diversity News Publications, publisher of Diversity News Magazine from the Diversity News Publications Family of Companies is excited to announced that our very own Steven Escobar (Multi-Award winning, President from Diversity News Publications, President and Executive Editor-In-Chief of Diversity News Magazine) presented along with Jarvee Hutcherson, MMPA President & ASYM National President on behalf of the City of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti Commendation Award & Spirit Award to television, film actress and singer Marla Gibbs at MMPA 6th Annual Primetime Pre-Emmy Party at Ace Hotel on Sunday, August 24, 2014.

The MMPA 6th Annual Primetime Pre-Emmy Party and Awards were held at Ace Hotel 929 S Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90015 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

The Spirit Awards Honorees were Don B Welch, Mel Novak, Marla Gibbs, Tasha Biltmore & Wilmer Valderrama. The Spirit Awards is given to Actor, Director, Producers, Playwrights & Others for their Outstanding Contributions to Arts and Entertainment.

Some of the past honorees include Lou Gossett, Jr. Bobbie Chance, Dwayne Johnson, Alfre Woodard, Paul Haggis, Sally Kirkland and many more.
