ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Sept. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- Upland Avenue Publishing Group (UAPG) announced Friday that they will dive into the world of children's books with a picture-book series that help kids realize that they can be heroes too — through happiness, love and assisting those in need.

The first two titles to be released are, “Helping Hand for Happiness and Germaine the Beetle” and can be expected in mid-September 2014. According to the publisher, “Germaine the Beetle” is written by Janice Lovato and focuses on Germaine’s desire to help save his family and find a new home after a tumultuous ordeal. “Helping Hand for Happiness” is written by Cindy Lawton and will feature illustrations from her sister, Sheila Lawton. The story reflects their interpretations of love, assisting those you care about and happiness. Cindy Lawton said in a statement issued through UAPG that she has been writing poems since a very young age. The desire for families to work as a unit and for children to find a place where they fulfill a 'helper's' role is the foundation of our story.

“The mission of these stories will resonate with children because it establishes the correlation that being heroic doesn’t matter if you’re big and tall in size but the magnitude of your desire to assist in a time of need.”, says President April Sheris. Germaine rises to the challenge of being courageous in finding his family a new home and suddenly every kid can relate because they may have the same desires to help change the outcome of their family’s circumstances. He's someone who loves his sisters, someone who becomes brave and looks out for people. He's not just a beetle in a story.
