DALLAS - Sept. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- On the heels of a nationwide sex trafficking bust that freed 168 children and captured 281 pimps and the passing of Texas Governor Rick Perry’s anti-trafficking bill (SB92), Dallas based film company After Eden Pictures and SHARE a 501(c) 3 non-profit are challenging Americans to join the fight against sex trafficking with the launch of the film 8 DAYS. The feature film, inspired by actual events, depicts modern day slavery that happens right now in our backyards, hotels and neighborhoods across the nation.

The 8 DAYS movement, dedicated to ending human trafficking, is being catapulted by the nationwide premieres and awareness campaigns. The events in eight major US cities are fundraisers, political rallies, screenings and concerts that benefit local sex trafficking organizations.  This unconventional and unique approach to filmmaking pours ticket sales directly into local sex trafficking organizations.  These organizations will use these funds to rescue and rehabilitate victims as well as build and expand safe homes.

“Sex trafficking is a silent faceless epidemic and 8 DAYS will thrust Americans into realizing the truth about this crime,” says Jaco Booyens, Director of 8 DAYS. “This is not a religious, political or racial issue, it is an unacceptable issue and we must stop the sex trafficking of our American children.”
