Funeral Set for Teen Fatally Shot by The Police

CHICAGO - Sept. 5, 2014 - PRLog -- One of two teenagers fatally shot by a Chicago police officer Sunday August 24th, Roshad McIntosh will finally be laid to rest. Witnesses say McIntosh was on his knees with his hands up surrendering, when he was fatally shot three times by an unknown officer. The teen leaves behind a son Roshad Jr, a girlfriend, three siblings, a grieving mother, a host of family members and a community that feels terrorized by the very people hired to serve and protect them.

Cynthia Lane mother of 19 year old Roshad Mcintosh, is inviting everyone to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church located at 743 S. Sacramento, Saturday September 6th, 2014 for the funeral of her son. The services officiated by Reverend Berry, will begin with a wake at 10am lasting until 11am, followed by the funeral ending at noon.

According to Ms. Lane the body of her son has been desecrated so badly, that she understands why the mother of Emmet Till gave an open casket service. "People need to know what is happening", Ms Lane hopes that her sons death is not in vain and justice is served to the officer who was in no imminent danger at the time Roshad was shot.
