The Residences at Wingate Awarded Best Retirement Living Residence
Hometown Weekly Readers Name the Residences #1 in the Region and in Needham
Every May and June, Hometown Weekly readers are asked to vote for their favorite local businesses and services in a wide variety of categories. Since the Hometown Weekly is mailed free to every home in the communities they serve, the survey gives every resident the opportunity to have their voice heard. Awards are given in both regional and town categories. Regional winners are those who received the most votes over the Hometown Weekly’s coverage area, consisting of the towns of Medfield, Walpole, Westwood, Dover, Sherborn, Wellesley and Needham.
The Residences at Wingate is located adjacent to the Wingate at Needham skilled care center at 235 Gould Street, offering hospitality and healthcare all on one campus. The luxurious 91-unit community includes a secure memory care neighborhood, which consists of a number of amenities including personalized chef-prepared meals served restaurant-style, spacious, private leased apartments, sun-filled open spaces and an enclosed garden, a private salon, Wellness Center, a full schedule of activities and much more in a modern setting.
“Being such a young community, we are thrilled to receive this honor,” said Maria Lastoria, Executive Director of The Residences at Wingate. “We are unique in that we offer everything that seniors need and want under one roof and in a gorgeous setting. It’s encouraging to see our model so well-received by the community and we look forward to serving more families in the coming years.”
