SPIN Annual Conference’s Opening Night to Benefit Crisis Nursery
SPINCon will take place at the St. Louis Union Station Hotel November 16-18, 2014. The opening night celebration at the host hotel will benefit the St. Louis Crisis Nursery, an independent not-for-profit agency that provides a short-term, safe haven for more than 7,000 children a year, birth through age 12, whose families are faced with an emergency or crisis. The city of St. Louis celebrates its 250-year anniversary in 2014, and SPIN celebrates its sixth birthday this fall.
“We saw this as a great opportunity to tie together several birthday celebrations into one evening, centered on some simple acts of kindness from our attendees to help area kids,” said SPIN chairwoman, Shawna Suckow, CMP. “Why have just a basic welcome reception, when some simple tweaks can change lives?”
The group asks attendees to donate items from the wish list, which they will bring to the opening night event. The event will feature a kids’ birthday party theme, with fun décor, themed food, and games. A representative from the Crisis Nursery will speak to the group to describe the organization’
The event draws around 150 attendees, comprised of senior-level planners with 10 years of experience or more, with a maximum ratio of 33% suppliers based on overall attendance. A limited number of hosted buyer opportunities are available. The planner registration fee is $445. Limited sponsorship opportunities may still be available.
