HOUSTON - Sept. 4, 2014 - PRLog -- Nashville recording artist Jessie Chris (http://3d5.1de.myftpupload.com/), 17, of Boston will join the Allstar Nation Tour (http://www.allstarnationtour.com/)– a peer-to-peer anti-bullying music tour visiting more than 100 schools in 30 districts throughout Texas beginning in Houston on Monday, September 8.

The Allstar Nation Tour (https://www.facebook.com/#!/allstarnationtour)features young music artists from around the country who perform Top 40 and original songs in middle and high schools to connect with students. Between performances, the artists speak out against bullying, share personal experiences and prevention methods. Performance assemblies are free to schools and are about 90 minutes in duration. Performances are typically held twice per day.

“Joining the Allstar Nation Tour gives me a platform to share important messages about treating each other with respect,” said Chris.  “I want to share my own struggles with bullying, teach kids, and be someone who is there for them. I want them to realize that they are not alone.”

Chris joins Texas natives Branden Mendoza (http://www.brandenmendoza.com/), 21, who competed on NBC’s “The Voice” Season 6 held earlier this year; Tristan Blaine, 15, a favorite among younger fans who refer to themselves as “Blaniacs”; and Micaiah Walker, 24, who is the lead singer of rock band VerseCity (http://www.versecity.com/).

The singer, songwriter, and musician with raspy vocals has been building buzz around New England over the last year. She recently recorded and will soon release an 11-song CD titled ‘Wildfire (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62qd0hSkxgw)’ and opened for country stars Chris Young and Ayla Brown as well as the “X-Factor’s” Jillian Jensen and “American Idol’s” Erika Van Pelt. She has performed all around the North East in large venues such as the Tsongas Arena, Indian Ranch, Mechanics Hall, The Wells Fargo Center (Philadelphia) among others.

Chris, who is a senior at Algonquin Regional High School in Northboro, Mass., draws inspiration from the likes of Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban. She writes her own songs about life as a teenage girl. Her debut CD will feature six original songs.

Chris is scheduled to perform at several Houston area schools September 8 through Sept. 12 including:

Monday, Sept. 8          Katy Junior High, 1:00 p.m.

Tuesday, Sept. 9          Tomball High School, 9:00 a.m.
