Barbizon Modeling Launches Photo Portfolio Program to Connect Children and Industry Professionals
In lieu of traditional training, Barbizon offers comprehensive portfolio building for children and toddlers to kick-start careers in the entertainment industry.
Today, agents and managers are actively seeking out the next child star, isolating the Ex-factor so they can groom new talent for long careers. For career hopefuls, the sooner child-talent gains identity with the general public the better. One appearance on a Disney or Nickelodeon show could help kick start a young persons career.
While sifting through piles of paperwork and job offers isn’t the scenario all parents face, those who support professions in the entertainment industry are often overwhelmed by the amount of work it is to manage their child’s career. Supplying rides, grooming and countless hours on set can negatively impact one’s ability to manage their child’s career.
Barbizon focuses on confidence-building curricula that teach students how to present themselves in a professional environment but also educational merits to promote the values of self-marketing. With continually increasing usage of social media and online profiles, students of the Photo Portfolio program will gain high-quality, professional photographs for online use. Additional workshop invitations include weekly Model & Actor training workshops in which all Photo Portfolio students are invited.
For 75 years, Barbizon has been on the forefront of the fashion and modeling industries, placing women, men, kids and teens all over the world. Partnering with publisher Conde Nast, Barbizon helped launch editorials like VOGUE, Harpers Bazaar and GLAMOUR Magazine, effectively creating the need for fashion models during the “Mad Men” era.
