EUsatcom Conference and Innovation Awards at IBC2014
A perfect update on satellite technology and an introduction to the European satellite community.
(AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS, 28 August 2014)
With a Conference on High-Throughput Satellite Broadcasting on Saturday and a whirling EUsatcom Innovation Awards show on Sunday during IBC2014 in Amsterdam the European Professional Satellite Association (EUsatcom) puts a new generation satellite broadcasting in the spotlight.
EUsatcom was founded early 2014 in close co-operation with the Society of Satellite Professionals International (SSPI) as a satellite professional platform to provide peer learning and networking opportunties. The two EUsatcom@IBC events act as a welcome service to satellite professionals from all over Europe
In a special welcome package satellite professionals can combine a full EUsatcom membership (SSPI membership included) with access to the Conference on High Throughput Satellite Broadcasting on IBC Saturday and a seat for the EUsatcom Innovations Awards Dinner Show in the EYE Film Institute on Sunday evening 14th September. A perfect all-in-one introduction to the latest satellite developments and the European satellite community.
The Conference on High Throughput Satellite Broadcasting will bring members up to date on the latest generation of satellite systems, satellite platforms and equipment as well as new developments in satellite video and broadcasting and will discuss new business opportunities. The conference will take place on Saturday 13th September between 13.30 -17.00 h in the Elicium building (room D203) in the RAI.
At the EUsatcom Innovations Awards Show the most innovative satellite teams in Europe present their latest satellite technology and solutions. This is combined in a whirling Awards and Dinner show in the iconic EYE Film Institute on the IJ on Sunday evening 14th September from 18.00 - 23.00 hours.

SSPI is delighted to co-operate with EUsatcom, and Robert Bell, that will be attending IBC and the EUsatcom events says, “We are happy to see that the group of active participants that have taken the lead to build up the professional network in Europe have reached this landmark, and we will co-operate with them closely also in future. I am really looking forward to both EUsatcom events, particularly the Innovations Awards."
EUsatcom is happy with the EUsatcom Welcome package. Says Hub Urlings "There is a lot of technology developments in the satellite broadcasting industry and the Association has worked hard to put together a program where our members can get a technology update for the next generation satellite systems. I think we succeeded to find a series of top notch speakers that will introduce these new developments to our members and point out the new business opportunities they provide. We are also looking forward to the more informal networking part of the events introducing new members to the European satellite professional community in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere like at the EUsatcom Innovation Awards."
