Wahl & Case and Footy Japan Partnership Close Fourth Successful Season
TOKYO, Japan (August 25, 2014)—Another gruelling Wahl & Case Tokyo Metropolis League season came to a close with the announcement of the winners of the three soccer divisions in an end-of-year ceremony on July 25.
Recruiting firm Wahl & Case commenced sponsorship of Tokyo’s largest and most prestigious international soccer league run by Footy Japan in January 2011 and will be renewing their sponsorship for a fifth season. The group is proud to support the organization that arranges leagues and learning for both adults and children, as well as hosts charity events.
Wahl & Case Managing Director Romen Barua, a previous Division 1 winning manager, said: “The Wahl & Case [Tokyo Metropolis League] (TML) continues to build a community around soccer in Tokyo and it's great to participate in an organization that is so diverse. After living here for seven years it still surprises me how many people are connected with the league and it's club members.”
Established in 2002, Footy Japan Ltd. (http://footyjapan.com) is a soccer marketing company that provides a professional infrastructure to facilitate a variety of aspects of the sport in Japan. The firm continues to capture the hearts and minds of those looking for a more international style of play in an extremely international league, helping to make the group the best place for expats to enjoy soccer in Japan.
From organizing 30 teams in three premiership-
Sid Lloyd, founder and CEO of Footy Japan, also commented. ”It's been another great season for the Wahl & Case TML with almost all the matches being played on great 3G astroturf pitches now. Unfortunately, even these games get canceled in extreme weather conditions and this season we lost more matches to weather than previous seasons. But, thanks to the hard work of league organizer James, we managed to eventually play all our matches.”
With the combined success of the partnership, there are high hopes for next season. “The standard of soccer is varied enough so that anyone can play and enjoy themselves, with a healthy amount of competitive edge,” added Barua.
