Applied Kinesiology

AK uses muscle testing to evaluate body function through the dynamics of the musculoskeletal system. As an AK doctor, Dr. La Starza will use muscle tests to evaluate the physiological responses to physical, chemical, and We mental stimulus and then integrate them with clinical history, physical examination, possible x-rays, and other diagnostic methods to determine theest course of care.

Arthrostim

Instrument adjusting that utilizes different sleeves for different parts of the body. No twisting, pulling, twisting, bending, pushing, popping, or cracking. Some people prefer this to traditional techniques of "cracking." Gentle, effective, great for Children and geriatric patients. Arthrostim is very specific adjusting with "No Cracking."

Gonstead Technique

A full spine, specific technique using a particular protocol and very thorough chiropractic diagnostic procedures, including palpation, spinographs, instrumentation and the use of individual Gonstead tables.

Hands on Adjusting

Thompson or Diversified techniques are known as being "hands on."

"Thompson technique" is a table-assisted technique for the full spine with standard protocols, using a drop-piece on the Thompson table for the adjustment.

"Diversified technique" is one of the oldest techniques in Chiropractic. Sometimes known as traditional manipulation.

Upper Cervical Technique
Originating with the famous "toggle recoil" of chiropractic's historical developer, B.J. Palmer, the technique concentrates on correction of a singular vertebra, the atlas and sometimes the axis (C2).

NET (Neuro Emotional Technique)

NET is a mind-body technique that uses a methodology of finding and removing neurological imbalances related to the physiology of unresolved stress. NET is a tool that can help improve many behavioral and physical conditions.

Activator Technique

Uses a percussive instrument to deliver the chiropractic adjustment, and incorporates a specialized diagnostic system.

Flexion-Distraction Technique

Uses a motorized table to assist in the vertebral correction, in which the adjustment is delivered to the patient during the motion of the table. Disc decompression with the use of this table.

Sacro Occipital Technique
A technique which assesses the patient using a number of particular physical indicators to determine which of three primary categories the patient is presenting with. This in turn gives rise to a specific procedure for that category, along with further ancillary procedures to work with the patient's skeletal, cranial and neurological systems in order to restore a more optimum level of balance and function

Knee pain, hand and wrist pain, foot and ankle pain, elbow pain, and shoulder pain. Dr. La Starza has had years of experience with extremities. La Starza Wellness Chiropractic utilizes gentle low-force extremity adjusting. Our goal is to get you out of pain and get to the cause of your problem.
