Career Step Release New Video Designed to Help Students Explore the Medical Coding and Billing Field
Career Step has released a new video designed to help students and career seekers explore the opportunities available in the medical coding and billing field.
“Medical coding and billing is an option that’s often overlooked when people are considering a career in healthcare,”
The video introduces the field, describing the daily responsibilities of medical coding and billing professionals as well as job demand and average salaries. It then discusses the Career Step training program and how the school’s Professional Medical Coding and Billing course prepares students to take advantage of the opportunities available in this field.
“Many of the students we talk to know that they want a new career, but they are unsure of which career to pursue,” said Ben Hartman, Career Step Director of Admissions. “Our goal is to help them quickly find the information they need to choose the best career for them through videos like our new medical coding and billing profile. Students can now get a good idea of what they can expect from a medical coding and billing career in just a few minutes.”
Career Step has been training quality healthcare professionals for over 20 years, and the school’s Professional Medical Coding and Billing is one of the few online certificate programs approved by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). The course prepares students to earn the Certified Coding Associate (CCA) credential offered by AHIMA as well as the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credentials offered by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
