PRI Gearing up for December 2014 Expo

RALEIGH, N.C. - Aug. 26, 2014 - PRLog -- The Performance Racing Industry (PRI) 2014 show is the biggest show of the year for automotive parts manufacturers. It’s not a consumer show or a hobbyist show; the focus is strictly B2B. According to the show’s web site (http://www.performanceracing.com/tradeshow/general_info.html), an estimated 200 promoters and 48,000 buyers from 70+ countries will be in attendance this year. The event typically includes live demos of mechanical subassemblies and components as well as a speakers presenting on a variety of educational topics. The show also features the Sunnen Engine Charity Sweepstakes (http://connect.victoryjunction.org/sunnen_sweepstakes), where the grand prize will be a high-performance drag race engine.

“We love the racing industry because racing is all about creating envy,” says Zig Zibit founder and President Jake Merzigian. “There’s a misconception about this type of event. While it’s a rich source of sales leads, the intensity also creates a challenge, especially since nature of automotive engineering makes for a long sales cycle. It’s not just about being flashy and grabbing people’s attention. You’ve got to convey elegance in everything you do, and that’s not easy.”

The first PRI show took place in 1988 amid a rapidly evolving industry. The show arose in response to a demand for an event exclusive to industry insiders. Since then, the show has grown considerably as the racing industry continues to push the cutting edge of automotive innovation.

The show will take place from December 11 through December 13 at the Indianapolis Convention Center. The grand prize drawing for the Charity Sweepstakes will take place at 2:00 pm on the last day of the show.
