By: Dori Hillestad Butler

SEATTLE - Aug. 26, 2014 - PRLog -- Award-winning author Dori Hillestad Butler is celebrating the release of her new series, The Haunted Library, with a blog tour September 7-13, 2014, a free launch party event for children at the Coralville Public Library in Coralville, IA, on September 22, 2014, and a presentation at the Martin County Historical Society in Fairmont, MN, on September 18, 2014.  “The Haunted Library is an age appropriate ghost series for kids who are just beginning to read chapters books,” said Butler. “The ghosts in this series are not dead people, they are more like transparent people with superpowers.” A frequent presenter at schools, Butler writes to inspire children who are not yet readers, whether that is because they are reluctant readers or because they simply have not read a book on their own yet.

About The Haunted Library Book 1

A brand-new young chapter book series from Edgar Award winner Dori Hillestad Butler!
When ghost boy Kaz’s haunt is torn down and he is separated from his ghost family, he meets a “solid” girl named Claire, who lives above the town library with her parents and her grandmother. Claire has a special ability to see ghosts when other humans cannot and she and Kaz quickly form a friendship. The two join forces to solve the mystery of the ghost that’s haunting the library. Could it be one of Kaz’s lost family members?
