Anglo Pacific’s Stephen Gray Appointed Deputy Chairman BAR Overseas Group

PARK ROYAL, U.K. - Aug. 25, 2014 - PRLog -- Managing Director of Anglo Pacific, Stephen Gray, has recently been appointed Deputy Chairman of the BAR Overseas Group.  Stephen brings more than 26 years industry experience to the table.

Speaking of his appointment, Stephen said, “I am very pleased to be appointed Deputy Chairman and I am looking forward to supporting the Chairman, Tony Tickener, as he continues with the excellent work already carried out by Ian Palmer and the rest of the Overseas Group Councillors.  We face some challenging times ahead because of difficult market conditions, so it is important that we continue to find ways to keep the BAR Overseas Group members ahead of the curve.”

BAR Overseas Group comprises more than 50 UK companies who are specialist in international removals out of the UK, and is a subdivision of the main industry body – the British Association of Removers (BAR).  The Association is dedicated to promoting excellence in the removals industry for the benefit of members and customers.  Members are inspected annually to ensure they meet strict quality standards and must also subscribe to the Advanced Payment Guarantee which protects all customer pre-payments in the event of a company ceasing to trade.

Stephen’s moving career started as a Pickfords management trainee in 1988, and he has been at the helm of Anglo Pacific since 2009, having joined the company two years earlier in a general management role.  Anglo Pacific handles around 20,000 consignments of personal and household effects annually and is a known market leader for Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Canada and South Africa.
