CARY, N.C. - Aug. 25, 2014 - PRLog -- RALEIGH, NC – Wendy Coulter, President of Hummingbird Creative Group announced that Hummingbird Account Manager, Blair Bunting, is serving as Chair on the Auction Committee for Wine, Women & Shoes, event to raise money for Communities In Schools of North Carolina (CISNC). The event will be held on Oct. 9th, 2014, from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM at the Talley Student Union at North Carolina State University.  Over 400 people are expected to attend the event, with the target audience being women between 30-55 years old.

Bunting will help organize and coordinate volunteers and work with local vendors, planning the live and silent auction and other fun raffle items such as “A Key to the Closet” (a closet that will contain over $2500 worth of items from the local businesses) the Wine Wall (which will have a wide variety of wines ranging from $25-$100) that attendees have the opportunity to win.  Bunting will also be soliciting donations for “swag bags” (guest gift bags).

CISNC is the only dropout prevention organization proven to both lower dropout rates and increase graduation rates. What sets CISNC apart is the organization’s holistic approach to addressing both the academic and nonacademic needs of students. Working with school staff, CISNC site coordinators identify students in danger of dropping out, assess what resources they need, and then provide those resources through the appropriate community partnerships. These resources include food, clothing, transportation, housing, medical care, mentoring, tutoring, academic supports and much more. This year, CISNC is serving more than 215,000 students on 441 campuses, helping to break the cycle of poverty, school failure and underemployment.

"It is a reward for me to be given the opportunity to change and impact a child’s life,” said Bunting. “Children can carry many burdens from home into their time spent at school. CISNC’s commitments to pinpoint and lift these burdens in return help students understand the value of education. I want to extend my sincere gratitude to all who donate to enable us to surround youth with a community of support.”

Communities In Schools of NC is currently soliciting donations, giveaways and wine (valued from $25-$100). For more details, contact Blair Bunting at 252-916-8576 or by email to To learn more about this event or to purchase tickets, visit:
