Andy Abbate Named To GeekiGirls Board of Directors

MIAMI - Aug. 24, 2014 - PRLog -- Geeki Girls has named Andy Abbate, president of Tenbrook Associates Marketing & Public Relations (http://www.tenbrook.us) (http://tenbrook.us/who-we-are/), to their Board of Directors. Geeki Girls was founded with the mission to encourage middle and high school aged young women to pursue careers in technology, science, math, engineering and the arts.

Their signature program, GeekiWood, provides creative, interactive programs and events demonstrating how these fields are relevant to their everyday lives. GeekiWood is the only event of its kind where producers, educators, technicians & scientists come together to blend the magic of film and television with real science. Using new and divergent teaching options, they inspire attendees to explore how technology facilitates the creative process.

Mr. Abbate has long been active in the community serving with distinction on the Boards of Directors of numberous organizations including the Town of Medley Chamber of Commerce, Neighbors 4 Neighbors, Prostate Cancer Mission, Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, Grand Jury Association and Doral Business Council.
