CHARLESTON, S.C. - Aug. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- [Charleston/SC-Aug. 21]Salis (http://www.facebook.com/cadillacsalis), a new Hip-Hop artist from Charleston, will personally distribute his upcoming EP,Cadillac Summer, to fans throughout the Holy City.

This marketing tactic will be similar to rappers of the 90s who sold their cassettes/CDs from the trunk of their cars; however, Salis says he hopes to establish and maintain a stronger relationship with his growing fan base.

“As a new artist, I want to make my presences known,” he added. “I would also like to pay homage the rappers who came long before me.”

Salis makes music for those who like “southern rap” or “country rap tunes”. And, from his bio, there is no question as to why his musical inspirations include 8 Ball & MGJ, OutKast, and of course the Underground Kings (UGK)—who first epitomized this peculiar style of hip hop music.

Cadillac Summer, scheduled for release on Sept. 8, will be a five track follow up to Cadillac Chronicles (http://www.datpiff.com/SALIS-Cadillac-Chronicles-mixtape....)(released March 2014).This EP will also include“Ballin & Mackin (https://soundcloud.com/#cadillac-salis/balling-and-macking)”as bonus track. Using his official fan page (http://www.facebook.com/cadillacsalis), Salis will announce a location in his hometown of Goose Creek, and downtown Charleston to distribute the album. The announcements will begin on Labor Day.

Cadillac Summerwill be sold for $5. With this purchase, buyers will also get a copy ofCadillac Chronicles. Fans will have the chance to get an autograph, and take a picture with Salis in front of his Cadillac DTS.

The EP will be available for a digital download mid September. In the Fall, he plans to visit Columbia, Myrtle Beach and Charlotte to continue his campaign.

To date, Salis next scheduled performance will be at the 2014 Geechee One Awards show on Nov. 8 at the Burke High school AuditoriumFor more information, you can email contact.salis843@gmail.com or tawana.tolbert@gmail.com.

About Salis

Born in Deerfield Beach, Florida, Salis relocated to Charleston with his mother and two brothers during the mid 90s. He attended Goose Creek High school, where he excelled in football and received an athletic scholarship to Shaw University.

He later transferred to Coastal Carolina University to continue his football career, but he dropped out during his junior year to work full time job in Charleston. To bypass time, Salis would participate in rap cyphers amongst friends. Becoming an artist was never an interest, until he crossed paths with Mo Money (another Charleston-based rapper) who advised him to take it more seriously.

In 2012, the former football player decided to “tackle” the rap game. Reflecting on his life, Salis began writing lyrics in his Cadillac DTS-- creating his first EPCadillac Chronicles. Salis has been inspired by artists like UGK, 8 Ball & MJG, Rich Boy, Outkast and Big Krit, who all make what Salis considers “riding music.” He is the newest member to the RETRO FLOW Entertainment Group.
