WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Aug. 20, 2014 - PRLog -- When travelers think of the summer season, they no doubt think of water-based fun. One of the best ways to cool down this summer is by visiting a great water park, so Global Vacation Ventures is offering a list of the best parks in the world for summer travelers to enjoy.

1.      Typhoon Lagoon in Orlando, Florida -Not many water parks can boast that pro surfers flock to their wave pool on a regular basis. Its wave pool is the largest in the world-twice as large as a football field. The waves crest at about 6 feet high and offer the realistic feel of the ocean. That is not all Typhoon Lagoon is known for; the water slides are a hit as well. Humunga Kowabunga has riders sliding at close to 60 mph and drops them five stories.

2.      Noah’s Ark in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin - The largest water park in America is everything one would hope it to be with 49 slides to choose from and dozens of other attractions shares Global Vacation Ventures. Located in the “Water Park Capital of the World," it just one of 17 water parks in Wisconsin Dells. Home to a water coaster that stands at more than 1,300 feet high, as well as America’s first upside-down looping slide, it is no wonder that Noah’s Ark is one of the most-popular destinations for water park enthusiasts and thrill seekers alike.

3.      Calypso Park in Limoges, Ontario - This year-old park is Canada’s largest water park. It is home to a 52,000-square foot wave pool and 35 slides that are all varying degrees of fun. Global Vacation Ventures encourages visitors to check out the tallest freestanding waterslide tower in North America that is over 90 feet tall! There are 10 slides that extend from the tower including the speedster slide, “Accelerators,” and a rollercoaster slide called “Aqualoops."

4.      Tropical Islands in Brandenburg, Germany - Germany is not known for its tropical like weather. This indoor water park, however, might make visitors forget that the nearest tropical islands are hundreds of miles away. Home to the world’s largest tropical indoor pool, and up to 8,000 visitors a day flock here to enjoy the slides and wave pools. Housed in a disused airplane hangar, Tropical Islands holds the record for being one of the largest buildings on earth by volume. Global Vacation Ventures knows that visitors will want to plan an extended stay just to see all that Tropical Islands has to offer.

For travelers who are dying for some water park fun this summer, these parks are sure to make for a memorable vacation. To learn more about summer travel visit
