Virginia Full Figured Fashion Week 2014

CHESAPEAKE, Va. - Oct. 1, 2014 - PRLog -- Virginia is scheduled to host its 2nd Full Figured Fashion Week October 20 - 26, 2014.  The series of event will take place throughout Hampton Roads and will commence with a fashion show at the Chesapeake Conference Center in Chesapeake, Virginia on 10/26/2014.  The host hotel for this event is the fashionable and trendy Aloft in Chesapeake, Va.

Virginia Full Figured Fashion Week is catered to plus size women, generally ranging in clothing sizes 10- 26, and Big & Tall Men's Apparel The week-long event schedule will consist of the following events:

“Make Me Over Monday” hosted by VF3W’s Executive Make Up Artist (Joy A. Massenburg) and Executive Hair Stylist (LaShanta Parker).

“Curves, Conversations and Cocktails” networking mixer

“Walk this Way” - a free runway training class open to the community hosted by VF3W models.

The “Real Men Wear Pink” fashion show in support of breast cancer month

Sip & Shop hosted by Boutique Crush Fashion and Make-Up Bar

The runway show is the main event featuring plus size designers, boutiques and models.  Full Figured Fashion Weeks have become increasingly popular due to a demand in the consumer marketplace for trendy clothing for the modern, curvy woman.  According to PLUS Model Magazine, roughly 50 percent of women wear a size 14 or larger; however, most standard clothing outlets cater to smaller sizes.  Additionally, outlets that do offer larger sizes have traditionally been conservative in style.

Tonia Minor, CEO and Founder of Virginia Full Figured Fashion Week, agrees with this statistic.  She planned the event as result of her own experiences and difficulty finding fashionable clothes to flatter her figure in retail stores.

Virginia Full Figured Fashion Week is open to the public.  Virginia Full Figured Fashion Week 2014 will feature designers from all over the country. Dutch Douglas, designer for RicLamar & Executive Stylist for VF3W, will make sure that the best of the best grace the runway of VF3W 2014.
