How to help Granny into your high vehicle
Avoiding the dangers of less stable people falling when getting in or out of higher vehicles
The NHS says that 1 in 3 people over 65 will have at least one fall a year. Getting in and out of a high vehicle can be a danger area. As well as the physical dangers of bruises and broken bones, the loss of confidence to get out of the house can have detrimental effects on the lifestyle of older people.
Some of the influences on falls are muscle weakness, lack of balance and poor eyesight.
The Buddy Care Step is bright red. It is 4 or 6 inches high reducing the muscle power needed to get into the high vehicle. The top is 20 x 12 inches and big enough for both feet. Balance can be gained before taking the next step into the car.
There are slip-resistant feet on both sides of the Buddy Car Step. There is a handhold through the centre making it easy to position at the car door and then remove it to store it in the boot.
Tested to 30 stone (420lbs / 190kg) user weight
