"My Fingerpaint Masterpiece" by Sherrill S. Cannon book review
A new children's book in rhyme that influences art, color and a world of imagination.
“That wind took my picture up high in the sky. It tossed it and turned it and helped it to fly!
It flew down the block and right up to the door, of The Rainbow Connection: the art dealer’s store.” ( As stated in the book.)
So in the story the painting gets in a pile of distinguished artists that happened to be working outside. Will they notice that this print landed on the pile? The story is engaging and a fun read for all ages. “My Fingerpaint Masterpiece”
In the book it states:
“A judge was nodding and shaking her head, This print is outstanding!
See what happens when they find out where the painting came from. Will they believe it?
I related very well with the story as I have framed many of my children's first pieces of art. They still hang in my home. These are the precious years and any parent will embrace and relate to this story. I think I just might run out and buy myself some paints. Well, we all have the artist child inside of us waiting to explode. Even a child’s book like this can inspire and light a flame.
The illustrations are in color and have a clear appreciation that young children can understand.
Other books Sherrill S. Cannon has written include:
Gimme -Jimmy, The Magic Word, Peter and the Whimper Whineys, and Santa’s Birthday Gift.
