Nicole Kearney Productions to make appearance in the 5th annual Fringe Festival

The production company will showcase their stage play, “re-Entry, a play”
CHICAGO - Aug. 18, 2014 - PRLog -- Nicole Kearney Productions is pleased to announce their second appearance in the Chicago Fringe Festival with stage play, “re-Entry, a play” directed by Sonita Surrat  on August 30th at 4 p.m., August 31st at 7 p.m. and September 1 at 10 p.m. at Deep Dish Stage inside the CCJP Meeting Hall, 5320 W. Giddings in the Jefferson Park neighborhood.

“re-Entry, a play” tells the story of George Jackson, an ex-offender attempting to re-store his family ties, re-build a new life and re-engage in society after spending almost half of his life in and out of correctional facilities.

“The show is aimed at the ex-offender returning home and to the individuals and organizations that work with them.” said playwright Nicole Kearney whose play helps raise awareness about the struggles of post-release life.

Ex-offenders are subjected to extensive post-release supervision and the preparation given to them for pre-release is inadequate, hindering their ability to properly re-integrate back into society.

The cast and crew of “re-Entry” have the primary goal of telling the agonizing and distressing story on stage of what ex-offenders deal with in their post-release life.

Ticket prices for the show are $10 with a one-time $5 backer button purchase.
