ADRC Brings a Popular Presentation to Atria Senior Living at Forest Hills

“Why Music for Alzheimer’s?” Presented as Part of Speaker Series

BAY SHORE, N.Y. - Aug. 15, 2014 - PRLog -- (Bay Shore, NY) — As part of its Speaker Series, Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center, Inc. (http://www.adrcinc.org/) (ADRC) will be presenting “Why Music for Alzheimer’s?” on Wednesday, September 10 at Atria Senior Living at Forest Hills, located at 112-50 72nd Avenue. The presentation starts at 2:30 p.m. and runs until 4:00 p.m.

“Why Music for Alzheimer’s?” was initially held at the 10th Annual Alzheimer’s Disease Education Conference & Expo on March 6 and became the most popular seminar at the event. As a result, ADRC has made this presentation part of its Speaker Series this year.

Cheryl Khaner, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Alzheimer’s Music Connect, will speak about using music as a caregiver tool and as a calming agent; how music can be used to stimulate lost memories; Altus Oscillation™ and how it works; and how music provides “downtime” for the caregiver. In addition to having worked as an attorney, Ms. Khaner has also held sales, marketing and public relations positions in the music and entertainment industry.
