First Prize Heart, Minds, Soul Award for film COMPLICIT
Documentary film COMPLICIT received 1st prize Heart, Minds, Soul award at Rhode Island International Film Festival
The film was also an official selection of two additional international film festivals held in the Spring 2014, the Australian International Jewish Film Festival and the Georgetown University Law School Equal Justice film Festival.
The film is an official selection at the Montreal World Film Festival, August 22-29, 2014 where the film will have three screenings.
The SS St Louis Legacy Project Foundation is a not for profit foundation whose mission is to bring "education through drama" presentations to universities, high schools and communities worldwide. The Foundation creates dialogue and discussion on the critical issues facing contemporary America such as human rights and refugee policy. The Foundation's recent educational programs, included theatrical performances at Los Angeles Jewish Home, Milwaukee Jewish Federation, Beth Torah Benny Rok Synagogue, and Creighton University. At each of these events surviving passengers discussed their views on the moral dilemma and human rights implications of the denial of safe haven by the United States.
