Does Fish Oil Cause Cancer by Idealbody4life

Aug. 15, 2014 - PRLog -- Fish Oil is well known for many health benefits such as reducing inflammation, improving circulation, maintaining general health and wellbeing, as well as reducing cholesterol.

However recent study has indicated that high level of omega 3 can lead to dramatically increased risk of prostate cancer in men.  It is a worrying discovery but one should probably not ditch Fish Oil supplements just yet. This type of study just indicated correlation and not causation between high level of omega 3 and prostate cancer. As the matter of fact it wasn’t a controlled study and participants only had their blood drawn once a year, with many factors that could have impacted final results.

So at this stage there have been many more studies to support health benefits of Fish Oil and just one to raise some concern. Let’s wait for more research before we can definitively state that taking Fish Oil supplement can lead to cancer. Perhaps choosing a healthy and balanced diet is the best approach at this point in time.
