This Detroit Startup Is Crafting The Best. Fluff. Ever

DETROIT - Aug. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- When Michele Bezue taught herself to create hand-made marshmallows one year ago, she simply wanted to make REAL marshmallows which were free of dyes, preservatives, and chemicals that would bring people back to a pleasant childhood place when they experienced them. She never imagined that the marshmallows would evolve into the beloved artistic endeavor which they have.

A self-proclaimed fluff artist (although she is known around metro Detroit as “The Marshmallow Lady”), in addition to the popular single flavors like vanilla bean, lemon or peppermint, she creates culinary-inspired flavors such as roasted peach with brown sugar & basil butter, ginger-roasted cantaloupe with sake, fried red banana & curry, and more.

“The marshmallows have become the creative outlet which I really craved after a career in retail management,” says Bezue. “Each day brings new inspiration and awe at the flavors that I am able to create from seasonal fruit, nuts, herbs, spices, essential oils and more. The possibilities for flavors are simply endless and that thrills me daily.”

Her latest mission is to create the finest fluff in the world and she is stepping up her craftsmanship to do it. Bourbon-barrel aged vanilla, sugar, syrups, and teas are just some of the premium ingredients which will go into these new flavors and she is even crafting a line of medicinal fluff made from marshmallow root.
