The 5th Annual Hollywood Music in Media Awards Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at The Fonda Theater
HMMAs expands Visual Media categories, including addition of Best Song & Best Score categories for Animated Films and Reality TV
This year, the HMMAs have expanded their Visual Media categories, with highlights including the addition of Best Song and Best Score categories for both Animated Films and Reality TV shows. Artists, composers and artist representatives are encouraged to submit through the HMMA’s website for their projects released in the 2014 calendar year. The field of entrants will be narrowed down to final nominees by the HMMA advisory board and selections committee with the winners voted on by approximately 100 music-media industry professionals comprised of music supervisors, studio and network music execs, composers and songwriters.
Among last year’s award winners, highlights were Henry Jackman for best original score for feature film (Captain Phillips); Jeff Beal for best original score for TV show/digital streaming series, (House of Cards); Robin Urdang for outstanding music supervision for film (Thanks for Sharing); Mark Wike for outstanding music supervision for television (CBS’ NCIS Los Angeles); Bear McCreary for original theme music for a TV show (AMC’s Walking Dead); Kathryn Gallagher for song in a feature film (“Damaged,”
The event will be broadcasted across viral web networks and social media platforms worldwide. HMMA holds a worldwide presence across more than a dozen countries including the USA, Canada, UK, Spain, Italy, Australia, Russia, Germany, New Zealand, Switzerland, Turkey and more! Attendance for this event has escalated over the years as it has become the most sought after music industry event in Hollywood.
