The founder, Singapore based developer Roldan Aquino is no stranger in developing Online Marketplace. In 2007, he joined PropertyGuru as its founding engineer and co-developed the early versions of Propertyguru.com.sg and Commercialguru.com.sg, the leading property portals for residential and commercial space in Singapore.

Aquino said that some of his friends encouraged him to develop a website that is easy to use. They said that some Classified websites in the Philippines has become over complicated for people to use while other websites are still using outdated design.   PinoyClassifieds has a clean interface without the clutter found in some of the classified sites.

Using PinoyClassifieds.com, people can search listings by locations, categories and other search parameters.  Aquino said that PinoyClassifieds is built with geospatial features in place and the future version will allow its users to  easily discover deals and products that are near to their location. Another feature is a Loan Calculator that provides sample mortgage calculation and monthly amortization.

A Mobile app is already under development and the site is already gaining some traction without any Marketing expenditures, thanks to its organic growth and the referral scheme that Aquino has implemented where members are rewarded with premium token by referring people to the site.

Philippines is a lucrative market for E-commerce. Just recently, Singapore-based Social media manager Jonathan See has said that “Philippines is the fastest growing Internet audience” in the world.  It has been cited as one of the most tech-savvy countries in Asia.
