RETTEW welcomes Doug Jena, Nicholas Konchar, Cathy Lee, and Peter Lee

LANCASTER, Pa. - Aug. 12, 2014 - PRLog -- RETTEW is pleased to announce four new hires at its offices in Mechanicsburg and Pittsburgh, Pa., and Canton, Ohio. These experienced staff members will help RETTEW continue serving its clients throughout the Northeast.

Doug Jena

Doug Jena works in the firm’s Pittsburgh office as a resident project representative in RETTEW’s civil and municipal engineering group. He supports clients onsite at construction projects, performing inspections, tracking equipment and time and advising personnel to make sure the client’s goals are met. Mainly working in the energy industry, Jena brings 35 years of experience in the construction field. His past responsibilities have included oversight and inspection of transportation infrastructure projects in the public sector. Jena previously worked as a transportation construction inspector for Michael Baker Corp. Holding Level IV Certification from the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies, Jena resides in Hanover Township, Washington County, Pa.

Nicholas Konchar

Nicholas Konchar, a project manager, works in the civil and municipal engineering group from RETTEW’s Canton, Ohio office. Also working with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Konchar has five years of experience as an environmental consultant, primarily in the energy industry. His experience includes environmental permitting, field surveys and water sample collection. He also oversees construction. Konchar previously worked at Halcon Field Services as a senior GIS specialist. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science from Slippery Rock University, and lives in Canton, Stark County, Ohio.

Cathy Lee

Cathy Lee works in RETTEW’s Mechanicsburg, Pa. office as a civil engineer in the firm’s land development group. In her project management role, she oversees workload including engineering designs, stormwater planning and site inspections. She brings 30 years of experience in land development and civil engineering projects in the public and private sectors. Her past work has included completing permits, stormwater and sanitary sewer design, erosion control design and subdivision plans. Previously employed as a civil engineer for Century Engineering Inc., Lee has a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. She supports the Wounded Warrior Project, helping injured servicemen and women thrive, and North Shore Friends Inc., a nonprofit helping underprivileged children in Central Pennsylvania. Lee resides in Fairview Township, York County, Pa.

Peter Lee

A geotechnical engineer, Peter Lee works from RETTEW’s Pittsburgh office in the firm’s geosciences group. His role is senior project manager, managing geotechnical investigations, design and construction services primarily for landslide projects. Lee has 25 years of experience with landslides, coordinating with state agencies and working in transportation engineering. He previously worked for NGE Consulting as a principal engineer, overseeing geotechnical services in transportation. Lee is a member of several professional organizations, including serving as treasurer and secretary of the American Council of Engineering Companies chapter in Northeastern Ohio and the chairman of the Geotechnical Institute for the American Society of Civil Engineers. Lee received his PhD in civil engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and volunteers regularly with his local church. He lives in Hudson, Summit County, Ohio.
