Cape Town events firm Spintelligent continues its growth and expansion with record revenue increase
Spintelligent, the leading Cape Town-based trade exhibition and conference organiser, has continued its unabated growth and expansion in events and partnerships in the power, mining, agriculture and education sectors during the first half of the year
Spintelligent has launched three new events so far this year: two in Zambia - Agritech Expo in Chisamba and CBM-TEC in the mining town of Kitwe - and Land Forces East Africa in Tanzania. David Ashdown adds: “aligning to the key economic sectors of the emerging African markets is the basis from which the business continues to develop and whilst remaining core to its culture as an early-to-market emerging market conference organiser, the business is continuing to evolve as a leading player on the international trade exhibition scene.” Spintelligent is the African office of Clarion Events Ltd based in the UK.
Designated partner of choice for new events
The Spintelligent MD says the company is increasingly becoming the designated partner of choice for new events in Africa: “not only do we partner with leading players in the expo field but we also make sure that we reach out to the right people and organisations in the respective industry sectors so that our events are the result of strong industry buy-in. We make sure that we have high-level equvf advisory boards and that our events are relevant, for the industry and curated by the industry.” African EduWeek signed a three-year partnership with SABC Education, CBM-TEC was a joint venture with Electra Mining organiser Specialised Exhibitions and Agritech Expo is operated by the Zambia National Farmers Union.
The company is launching two more events during the second half of this year: Powering African Industry is taking place alongside the annual Electra Mining and ELENEX expos in Johannesburg in September while iPAD Rwanda Power and Infrastructure Forum is held in Kigali in November.
David Ashdown adds: “to identify and reward our core industries’ pioneering individuals and companies we have also launched a series of awards for our events, starting with the hugely successful African Utility Week Awards which took place in May – it was a sold out, glitzy affair and received great coverage.”
