Richard John Reliford Releases First Music Album “The RichLife”
Actor explores love for music by releasing album and honoring mother.
“Releasing this music at this time is not for personal gain but of creative/artistic passion. Music has been a major part of my life since childhood in which my father played blues guitar, I was in band and have produced, written and performed an eclectic blend of songs since then. Each song, especially "So Young, So Dumb" (inspired by and dedicated to my late mother, Shirley Reliford), shares parts & pieces of my heart in raw form. I am releasing this peek into my diverse thirst for life & sold out commitment to love fearlessly on her birthday, August 25th, 2014, seven years after her passing,” said Richard.
Richard doesn’t just consider himself an actor, but an overall creator. Not only did he record all of the songs, but he also wrote and produced them as well. The album is meant to explore and share his other talents to further connect with his fans, who he fondly calls the “Rich1s.” He made sure to offer something that caters to all musical tastes. Similar to Richard’s personality and career, “The RichLife” is difficult to box into one genre. It consists of Hip-Hop, Dance, Alternative, Pop and R&B. His main goal is to always follow his mantra which is to E*nfluence, Encourage, Entertain and Enjoy.
Richard is best known for his lead role in “Frat Brothers,” which recently premiered on BET. He currently has a national commercial airing for American Family Insurance. The actor has also appeared on several episodes of General Hospital and Happy Endings on ABC.
