City Mall launches aid campaign for Gaza, cancels summer activities in solidarity
In solidarity with the people of Gaza and their steadfastness in the face of brutal aggression, City Mall has cancelled its summer activities this month and launched a campaign to collect donations for the coastal enclave.
Donors can present material and financial aid to City Mall’s Campaign to Support Gazans at the Mall’s main atrium on the ground floor. The donation drive continues from the 7th through the 11th of August and is organized in cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization.
Material aid includes basic dried or canned food items with a shelf life of over one year, such as flour, sugar, rice, oil, milk, vegetables and legumes. Donations of food parcels that include an assortment of such items are also welcome.
The donation drive emanates from City Mall’s humanitarian responsibility as an active member of the Jordanian and Arab community.
Ms. Maram Enaya, commercial manager at City Mall, said the decision to scrap summer festivities and collect relief aid for Gaza instead was taken in solidarity with the people of the strip to bring them much needed assistance.
“We cannot celebrate summer at a time when our fellow brothers and sisters are suffering every day in Gaza. We are determined to continue collecting humanitarian aid for them in this hour of need,” she added.
