Love That Dress! Donation Sites Now Available Across Lee County

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Aug. 9, 2014 - PRLog -- As the Love that Dress! 6 (http://www.pacecenter.org/centers/lee/lee-ltd) committee prepares for the ultimate feel-good shopping spree this month, PACE continues to collect dress donations of all brands and sizes from sundress to wedding gowns and Gap to Gucci, in order to reach their goal of 3,000 dresses.

The following sponsors and retail locations across Lee County have volunteered to serve as collection points so you can bring in your gently used, but still lovely dresses, accessories, purses and shoes.  Formal, casual, and even bridal dresses will be collected at these donation sites and later sold at the Love That Dress! 6 (http://www.pacecenter.org/centers/lee/lee-ltd)  event to benefit the Lee PACE Center for Girls, Lee. In addition to dresses, shoes, purses and accessories are also being accepted.

Your gracious donations will be up for sale in a few weeks at this year’s Love That Dress! 6 event, on Wednesday, August 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Estero located at 10450 Corkscrew Commons Drive. White House|Black Market is once again offering new dresses, accessories, shoes and handbags at unbelievable prices. Suite sponsors will have access to VIP shopping, offering private dressing rooms, claim check, express check-out service, complimentary adult beverages, hors d’oeuvres provided by Naples Flatbread, and a private selection of decadent chocolates provide by Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Suites are still available; please contact the PACE Center staff if you are interesting in sponsoring a suite.

With your attendance and donation comes the great feeling that the young women who are involved with PACE can continue on with their lives in a more successful way. In 2012-2013,  113 girls were helped through PACE and of those girls an amazing 80% were placed in school or were employed within six months after leaving PACE.

PACE is a 501(c)3 organization and works with young women between the ages of 12-18 living in at risk situations. PACE provides guidance and educational opportunities providing them with a path to a successful life.
