Los Angeles, CA - August 6, 2014 - AchieveSobriety.org is the first website where you can watch videos of people candidly sharing their stories about how they have achieved sobriety and what their lives are like sober.  These individuals come from a variety of backgrounds and have used used different substances as well as different methods to recover.

Our aim is to counteract the negative portrayal of addiction and show that the majority of addicts are normal people, except when it comes to their addiction.  The site should encourage addicts to seek earlier treatment, and not wait until their lives become completely unmanageable.  Addiction is treatable and the sooner, the better.  In addition, there is a mistaken yet common belief among addicts that their lives will no longer be interesting once they are sober.  As you will see, our videos challenge that.

There will be new videos regularly added to the website and recovered alcoholics and drug addicts are encouraged to submit their own videos with their personal stories.

Achieve Sobriety is currently collaborating with professionals to make videos related to addiction, the recovery process, and maintaining sobriety.  The website will provide some of the best online resources for treatment, including treatment centers, recovery and support programs, etc.
